Outdoor Challenge OLD
You don’t need access to a national park or the woods to enjoy the outdoors! So put yourself out there with us and participate in our Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors Challenge. Spending at least 120 minutes a week in nature is associated with good health and wellbeing, even if you spend that time becoming a rockstar at rock climbing or making a splash in the puddles around your neighborhood.
Download the free activity sheet to see what’s possible right outside your own front door today, and earn this patch!
LET’S GO
Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast is sponsoring a video contest to promote how much Girl Scouts love the outdoors!
The theme, “Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors” ties in with the Outdoor Challenge, so you can work to earn your patch while making your contest entry. Make a video of your outdoor adventures canoeing, doing archery, hiking or some other activity in nature. Include footage of yourself, your troop, family and friends. (Just be sure they have given you permission to video them!)
There are three categories for individuals based on grade level (D/B, J/C and S/A) as well as a troop/group category. Winning entries will receive a $25 gift certificate that can be used in the GSCCC shop!
Here are things to keep in mind when crafting your entry:
