Homeschool Girl Scouting
In Girl Scouts, girls learn so many important life skills like goal setting, decision making, project management, people skills and more. The work done to earn badges, patches, and awards can often be translated into what you are learning at home, complementing your schoolwork and introducing fun ways to teach new concepts.
The content of all Girl Scout national proficiency badges have been correlated by grade level to national Common Core Standards, 21st Century Skills Standards, Financial Literacy Education Standards, and other learning objectives. You can “mix and match” Girl Scout badges with the curriculum you are using! (Search for Girl Scout program curriculum standards by state and grade level at girlscouts.org.)

“I am so thankful to the Girl Scouts and having it be one more way to keep my family socially active and engaged. Girl Scouts offers boundless benefits to my homeschooling family: solid friendships, educational opportunities, the right tools to achieve their goals, the chance for girls to be heard, to have their interests piqued, and the room to be curious about them.”
–Southern Van Auken, co-leader of Troop 94
