Register Now: Complete the volunteer registration process online. Background checks are required for most volunteers working directly with girls, handling troop funds/products, and administrative volunteers. If your position does require a background check, you will receive an email link to complete the background check process after completing your volunteer registration.

Troop Positions

Troop Leader

For each troop there is a team of one troop leader and one or more assistant leaders, along with other volunteers who will help the troop run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Troop leaders work directly with a group of girls and mentor them as they make new friends and build courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place. The Leader also helps them develop leadership skills on an individual and/or group basis.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               The troop leader is responsible for organizing and delegating the adult volunteers and overseeing troop management. The Troop Leader should have the enthusiasm and ability to inspire girls’ interests and curiosity about ways to incorporate the Three Keys to Leadership:  Discover themselves, Connect with others, and Take Action to make the world a better place through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE). You must have the ability to work as a volunteer team to achieve your troop goals, and along the way, you will be inspiring girls to be the best they can be!                                                                                                        
This position requires a current membership every year and an approved criminal background check every 3 years. This position must also be appointed/re-appointed by a Black Diamond Membership staff member.

Troop Cookie Chair
Coordinate the annual cookie sale at the troop level. Set up cookie booths, manage inventory and money, and then watch the girls light up when they earn the rewards for being the best cookie sellers ever!

Fall Product Sale Chair
Coordinate the annual fall product sale at the troop level. Coordinate product orders, manage inventory and money, and then watch the girls light-up when they earn the rewards!

Troop Treasurer
Budget and manage all financial affairs of the troop and to see that all forms are completed and submitted properly.
