Our current membership is 2.6 million strong—1.8 million girls and 800,000 adults who believe in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to change the world. Beyond that, our research suggests that over 50 million women today were Girl Scouts in their youth.
At Girl Scouts, we prepare girls to empower themselves to be leaders in their lives and in the world. From the iconic Girl Scout Cookie Program, which has launched millions of entrepreneurs and businesswomen, to our outdoor and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programs that help girls unlock their full potential, Girl Scouting works!
Girl Scout alums have made significant contributions across society—breaking ground and effecting change as leaders in government and in the boardroom, excelling in STEM and the arts, and so much more. We’re the preeminent leadership development organization for girls—and with programs from coast to coast and around the globe, Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success.
