Our Properties

Are you looking for a place to meet that has affordable, accessible space and free parking? The Girl Scout & Volunteer Resource Center located at 321 Virginia Street West in Charleston and our Girl Zone urban camp (located right next door to the Girl Scout & Volunteer Resource Center) is the place for you! We can accommodate:

Girl Scout & Volunteer Resource Center Meeting Spaces
The Girl Scout & Volunteer Resource Center offers three meeting spaces:
 
  1. Bernard McDonough Small Conference Room: Has 431 square feet of space and comfortably accommodates up to 20 people. Various setup configurations are available.

  2. Juliette Gordon Low Large Conference/Board Room: Has 1,259 square feet of space and comfortably accommodates up to 24 people. This is a professional board-style room, complete with tabletop outlets. Tables are stationary and cannot be reconfigured.

  3. GSBDC Multipurpose Training Room: Has 1,721 square feet of open space and can comfortably seat 60 people classroom-style; or the space and tables can be reconfigured to accommodate up to 80.

How to Reserve Space at the Girl Scout & Volunteer Resource Center

  1. Review our Meeting Room Usage to view rates and rental details.
  2. Check our Facility Calendar (below) for availability.
  3. Complete and return the Meeting Space Reservation Request Form.
  4. You will receive an e-mail confirmation when your request has been approved.
Camp Properties
GSBDC Camps available for rental
  1. Camp Rocky Ledges: This camp is available year-round and ammenities include a heated lodge/dining hall which features indoor restrooms, shower, and large kitchen. Also on property is Hilltop House, a small heated cabin with a kitchenette and restroom, platform tent units, half-cabins, a pond and amphitheater.
  2. Camp Giscowheco: This camp features a year-round heated lodge with a wood-burning fireplace, indoor restroom, and small kitchen. Also on property is a large dining hall with kitchen, pavilion, platform tent units, half-cabins, and a swimming pool.
