Council Museum
The
Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan invites you to visit our new
Council Museum & Resource Library, located inside the White Lake
Service Center.
The Council Museum is the culmination of
years of work by the GSSEM Archive Committee.
We invite
you to come and enjoy our wonderful collection of Girl Scout uniforms,
paraphernalia, program materials and cultural items that span our 100
year history.
Current exhibits include:
Uniforms
throughout the years
Girl Scout
doll collection
Girl Scouts
in the Beginning
World
Association of Girl
Guides &
Girl Scouts
Brownies
through the Years
And more…
Patch Program
The Council Museum features a special patch program for girls
of all ages that encourages exploration throughout the museum and
leaves our guest with a better sense of the living legacy of Girl Scouting.
Library
The Council Museum is also a great resource for those who wish
to further explore the history of Girl Scouts. Our Resource Library
provides opportunities for volunteers to “check out” historic
handbooks, program materials and even uniforms throughout the decades
(for both display and to wear).
