Eligibility
Year of Yum! Cookies for a Year! (the "Promotion") is open to legal residents of the State of Michigan who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees of Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan and other companies associated with this Promotion, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising and promotion agencies, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee, are not eligible. The Promotion is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Agreement to Official Rules
Participation in the Promotion constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.

Promotion Period
The Promotion begins on February 19, 2021 at 9:00 AM EST and ends on April 11, 2021 at 11:59 PM EST (the "Promotion Period"). The timekeeping device of the Promotion Sponsor is the official timekeeping device of the Promotion. Entries that are submitted before or after the Promotion Period will be disqualified. Submissions will be accepted for the duration of the Promotion using any of the following methods: Mail-In or Web Entry.

How to Enter
Web Entry: Eligible individuals will receive one entry card upon the purchase of five (5) boxes of cookies from participating Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan Cookie Booths that directs them to visit gssem.org/yum to enter the contest.
Via Mail: This method of entry will be available for the entire Promotion Period. Entrants should handprint their full name, complete address, phone number (including area code), email address (optional), and age on a 3" x 5" card, and mail it in an envelope with proper postage affixed to:

All mail-in entries must be postmarked by April 12, 2021 and received by April 19, 2021.
Limit one (1) entry per household per the duration of the Sweepstakes Period, regardless of method of entry.
The Promotion Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected, or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified. All materials submitted become the property of the Promotion and will not be returned.

Selection of Winners
On April 23, 2021, the Sponsor will select twelve (12) winners in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the winners via telephone or email on or before April 30, 2021. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place at random from the remaining non-winning, eligible entries.
Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the Sponsor may award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from all remaining eligible entries.
Winners must comply with all instructions in the prize notification communication, including completion of an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release, and return the affidavit within ten (10) days of the date of the notification, and also must meet all of the eligibility requirements set forth within these rules except where prohibited by law. If these requirements are not met, the prize will be forfeited.

Prizes
Each randomly selected winner will receive a prize consisting of 52 boxes of Girl Scout cookies (valued at $208.00). Winners will receive a pre-determined assortment of cookie flavors, excluding S’mores, Toffee-tastic, and Lemon-Ups. Prizes will be awarded approximately 4-8 weeks after the conclusion of the Promotion by a single delivery of 52 boxes of cookies.

Release
By entering the Promotion and/or accepting receipt of a prize, entrants and/or winners agree to release, hold harmless, and indemnify Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan, and its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, officers, directors, and agents, from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Promotion or the receipt or use of any prize. Each winner shall be solely responsible for any tax liabilities or other consequences related to the receipt of a prize.

Publicity
Except where prohibited, participation in the Promotion and acceptance of prize constitutes the winner's consent to use of winner's name and/or likeness in any advertising, promotions, and other publicity conducted by Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan, its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agents, without further authorization, compensation or remuneration of any kind.

General Conditions
The Promotion Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Promotion, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the reasonable control of the Promotion Sponsor impairs the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper operation of the Promotion or the ability of the Promotion Sponsor to provide the intended prize(s).
