How to Participate

Special Kindergarten Readiness  (New in 2020)

 

  • “Making New Friends,” a FREE, virtual fun and learning 4-event series 

  • Share with new kindergartners and their parents to sign up online

Girl Scout Troops

Schools can welcome neighborhood troops, K-12

  • Schools, invite Girl Scouts to participate in your back-to-school nights. So much fun!

  • Distribute invitations for FREE Girl Scouts event: Robot Building Party OR Animal Dance Party

  • Provide space for Girl Scouts to meet at your school building, when possible

School-based Troops  

(New for 2020) 
Grades K-1, 2-3 or 4-6

  • Lunch time or after-school troop, or aligned with after school programs at any school

  • Girl Scouts provides adult mentors to facilitate programming to Title 1 schools and schools with high percentage free/reduced lunch

Specialized Girl Scout Troops

(New for 2020) 

  • Customize a co/extracurricular troop to meet your school’s 
    interests – e.g. Engineering, Trailblazers (outdoors), etc.

  • Coordinated by school staff, PTO, PTA, or parent group

  • Also perfect for learning pods, micro-schools or home schools

 

Individual Girl Scouting

  • “Juliettes” are girls following Girl Scout curriculum for an independent experience 

  • Counselors and teachers recommend girls who can benefit from leadership and life skills

One-time Girl Scout programs

At school, library or other 

 

 

  • Girls STEM workshop at your school or community center – coding, robotics, engineering

FREE - Sponsored by Idaho National Lab, Idaho STEM Action Center, and Micron

  • Other workshop topics, STEM Fairs, Family Math Nights, School Carnivals and Holiday Events 

 

Community Organizations, Faith Communities, Sports Teams and Youth Centers

  • Perfect for community groups or sports teams to keep teammates connected & healthy 

  • Integrated curriculum available for most faith communities – such as A.M.E., Methodist, LDS, Jewish, Catholic, Friends, Buddhist, Baha’i, Nazarene, Episcopal, and more

  • “Diverse. Inclusive. Together.” curriculum free to all organizations (no troop needed)
